What IS this thing?
HELL HOLE is a "Golf Roguelike" set in a procedural Underworld. Think Vampire Survivors
meets PGA Tour 98, but everything is on fire and the ball screams when you hit it.
Development Status:
We are currently in Pre-Alpha / Prototype. That means the visuals are placeholders,
the physics are "suggestive," and the economy is fake. But the vibe? The vibe is 100% real.
This wiki exists to document the chaos as we build it. Welcome to the ground floor.
I. THE LORE (Why act thou hitting balls?)
You died. You went to Hell. But due to bureaucratic overcrowding, eternal torture is currently fully booked.
The Management has offered an alternative: The fairway.
If you can survive 18 holes of the "Infernal Open," beat Par, and extract via the 18th hole portal, your soul gets upgraded to "Purgatory Premium" (which has air conditioning).
The Hub: Hell Country Club
Between runs, you rest at the only safe zone in the Underworld.
- The Blacksmith: Upgrades for clubs and weapons.
- The Garage: Cart modifications (speed, armor, turrets).
- The Bar: Buffer drinks before a run.
II. THE MECHANICS (How to not die)
1. Drive: Hit ball. Chase ball in Cart. Run over enemies.
2. Survive: The ball attracts demons. Defend it.
3. Extract: Every 3 holes, the Valet offers an escape portal. Taking it banks your loot. Ignoring it doubles the difficulty.
Inventory Architecture
- Pockets (Hotbar): 5 Slots. Dropped on Death.
- Golf Cart Trunk: Raid Stash. If the Cart dies, loot is gone.
- Member's Locker: The Meta-Stash. Safe forever.
